Logistical Support

The NTS logistics team is responsible for managing the flow of calls and to ensure that parts and supplies are where they need to be when they need to be there.  NTS’ call management system tracks the status of all service calls and the flow of parts.  This system extends to each of our branch offices and eliminates redundant overhead.  Our “premier” status with all major Tier 1 hardware vendors allows NTS to make full use of vendor cross-shipment offerings.  A single resource within NTS is dedicated to securing and tracking vendor exchanges.  NTS vehicles, Local couriers, major shipping companies and local airlines are utilized to move materials expediently. 

Networking Technologies and Support’s warehouse in Richmond houses in excess of $1 million of spare parts reserved strictly for maintenance and repair services.  NTS’ integrated Inventory Management System allows us to quickly locate parts, monitor inventory levels and alert NTS field service management if stocking levels fall below pre-determined thresholds.

We have well established relationships with OEMs and third party parts resellers.  Parts purchased from these vendors are stocked based on machine failure histories.  As part of our parts ordering procedures, response time requirements are taken into consideration. 

As a general rule, greater quantities of parts and loaner machines are purchased for the more stringent response time requirements covering mission critical equipment. 

NTS has strong relationships with most major computer distributors.  Its strategy of using multiple suppliers allows NTS to provide clients with outstanding value, greater product availability, rapid delivery, and excellent technical support services.
